Training provider, the MAMA Youth Project (MYP) has won the Developing Talent prize at this year’s Business in the Community Race Equality Awards ceremony, which was held in London earlier this month. MYP’s winning project was the TV magazine programme What’s Up, which is currently broadcast on Sky 1. The organisation provides training and support to young people (18-25) to help them secure employment in the TV and media industries with a particular focus on those from under-represented groups and with limited educational or employment opportunities. Now in their 10th year, the Awards celebrate outstanding practice, innovation, and dedication to race equality and inclusion in UK workplaces. Other winners this year include the BBC (Employee Network Award – Public Sector) and Teach First (Future Workforce Award). To read more, click here.
