Screen picks top training schemes for


In April, Screen International, in collaboration with Creative Skillset, published a list of eight of the best industry training initiatives for under-represented groups. Among the list are: Filmonomics run by Bird’s Eye View, which is targeted at established women and BAME film practitioners and is designed to bridge the gap between development and distribution; Modern Tales, a professional development initiative created by Bushfire Digital and Script Cube for emerging BAME, female and disabled filmmakers; and two schemes run or backed by the NFTS, the BAME Leadership scheme and the NFTS Directing Workshop which aims to increase the number of women, BAME individuals and people with disabilities working in screen directing.
