Government launches new Youth Social Action

The Government has announced the creation of a new £1 million Youth Social Action Fund to encourage youth participation in social action across England. The fund aims to address gaps identified by last year’s Ipsos Mori Youth Social Action Survey which showed a lower participation rate of young people from lower socio-economic groups. Part of the fund will be earmarked for organisations working with young people in more deprived areas of the country. The new investment will be matched by the Pears Foundation and UK Community Foundations (UKCF). For details of areas covered by the fund and how to apply, click here.
