Film Skills Fund invests £1.8 million


Creative Skillset has announced the Film Skills Fund has supported over 45 organisations since June this year, investing £1.8 million of its available fund of £4 million in priority skills training areas. Additionally Creative Skillset has funded a further five projects (£153,000) so far this year with money from DCMS. Funded organisations and projects include a range of MITA members such as the Centre for the Moving Image (SFTN: New Voice On Screen), B3 Media (Talentlab 2016), Film London (London Calling 2016-2017, Micro Market 2016), Four Corners (Digital Film Skills, DIT Skills Workshop), the Short Course Unit at the NFTS (BAME Leadership Programme, Introduction to VFX producing) and Sheffield Doc/Fest (Future Producer School, Talking Point Industry Sessions Programme).
