About Glocal Films

Glocal Films combines qualifications in filmmaking, social work and visual anthropology. All our staff have extensive experience in working with vulnerable children and young people from various social, religious and cultural backgrounds. Our methods are based on engagement and participation, empowerment and self-representation.

We are specialised in participatory video projects, engaging groups of people of all ages and backgrounds in producing their own films. We facilitated several Creative Partnerships projects in various schools around London.

Our most recent project is called EinBlick (Insight), which we developed in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut. During this three-year spanning intercultural video exchange project, we have connected more than 300 pupils and their schools in 15 countries through the medium of film and established an online platform to guarantee longevity of the newly formed partnerships.

We are offering our very hands on training courses with a view to enable teachers to incorporate participatory video methods as a teaching tool. The course focuses on practical, technical and didactic skills.
