UK cultural and creative organisations awarded

UK-based organisations received a total of 2.6 million euros in direct grants from Creative Europe’s Culture sub-programme Cooperation Projects scheme to undertake international projects in the latest funding round. Over a fifth (22%) of the supported UK organisations are higher education institutions and the others work in fields ranging from heritage and performing arts to dance and music. Some of the 28 UK-led projects¬† receiving funding include Future Divercities, headed by Bristol-based Superact, a four-year project aiming to establish a European network of creators that will embed creativity, innovation and art production in the heart of communities, and PUSH, headed by Edinburgh-based Imaginate, a two-year project bringing artists, organisations and young people from Scotland, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark and Norway to explore gender, migration and risk.
