Film London and Creative England have launched a new talent development scheme for filmmakers who have successfully produced films under their London Calling and iShorts initiatives. Alumni will initially support 18 filmmaking teams to take their careers to the next stage. Each team will receive £15,000 to make their next short film, with the aim of making a distinctive, higher-budget short that indicates the type of feature film they would ultimately like to produce. Additionally, the filmmakers can apply for £5,000 towards feature film development support. This could include researching ideas, working with a script editor, and developing a treatment or first draft. To read more, visit the Film London website.
