The Scottish Government has launched a new £1.75 million Production Growth Fund to encourage film and TV producers to base their productions in Scotland. The funding is intended to enhance Scotland’s ability to compete for higher value production work, support industry growth and create new, high quality training and employment opportunities. The new fund follows the introduction earlier this year of a £2 million Tax Credit Advance Facility and a £1 million Screen Skills Fund to provide training and skills development opportunities for people already involved in the sector or considering a career in screen.
