The Creative Diversity Network (CDN) has appointed Amanda Ariss as executive director and Tanya Mukherjee as executive manager of its new permanent executive. Ariss joins the CDN from the Equality and Diversity Forum where she has been chief executive since 2008. In her new role, Ariss will manage the development and implantation of a new CDN strategy and will establish the organisation as a not-for-profit company. In an interview with Broadcast magazine, Ariss said that in developing a strategy for the CDN her focus would be on distinguishing which projects and issues the CDN will lead on, and what the broadcasters need to take responsibility for.

Mukherjee joins the CDN from ITV where she has been Diversity Partnerships Manager since 2011. She will coordinate the day-to-day activities of the CDN and manage relationships with various stakeholders. The team is based at Creative Skillset’s office in King’s Cross.
